We’re excited to announce the launch of a new training program here at USD, based on the New York Times best-selling book, Crucial Conversations. With more than 3 million copies sold, this book has transformed organizations and changed the way millions communicate.

When you’re not getting the results you seek, it’s likely a crucial conversation is keeping you stuck. Whether it’s a problem with poor quality, declining customer satisfaction, or a strained relationship, if you can’t talk honestly with nearly anybody about almost anything, you can expect poor results.

What Is a Crucial Conversation?
A crucial conversation is a discussion between two or more people where the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. These conversations—when handled poorly or ignored—lead to strained relationships and dismal results.

Crucial Conversations teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics—at all levels of an organization. How Much Does the Training Cost?
Public offerings of this training cost an average of $1,595, but we’re able to offer it to the USD community for the drastically reduced rate of $300 per employee. This fee, which covers various catering options each day of the program as well as the robust program materials all participants will receive, is due before the session via POETS code, and a member of the Learning and Development team will contact you after your registration to coordinate payment.
