On Your First Day

We hope that your first day at USD will be memorable. Here is a checklist of things you can accomplish on your first day:
  • Parking: your supervisor can request a temporary three-day printable parking permit for you. As an alternative, on your first day of employment, you can obtain a one-day visitor’s parking pass at Parking Services in University Center, Room 102. Please make this your first stop of the morning; Parking Services is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Report to Human Resources (Maher Hall, Room 101) on your first day to complete and submit the required new hire paperwork, conveniently hyperlinked below. Within 3 days of your start date, you must present documentation that establishes your identity and work authorization for I-9 purposes in order to remain on the payroll.  Please have the appropriate document(s) as listed on the back of the I-9 form with you.
  • Meet with your supervisor and/or department designee.
  • Confirm that you have received all necessary keys and/or access for your workspace.
