Health Care Informatics Admission Criteria
Certificate Program

  • Bachelor's degree from an approved, accredited school
  • Basic computer and information management skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic statistics course
  • Minimum of 50 hours as a volunteer in an acute care setting (for non-RNs)
  • One year of work experience preferred
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Completion of the University Application for the HCI Certificate Program through Division of Professional and Continuing Education
  • One official transcript from each college or university attended
  • Two professional recommendations
  • Resume
  • Interview
