Careers in Health Care Informatics

Health care is a thriving industry in San Diego, and information technology is growing exponentially within the field.  Graduates in health care informatics have a number of career venues in the area in which to practice: hospitals (more than 35 urban and rural facilities in the San Diego/Imperial County region alone), as well as outpatient centers, medical laboratories, private offices, community clinics, research facilities and related medical-support businesses and industries.  Faculty and students at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science work and train in many of these facilities, further developing the robust relationships the school has cultivated between education and industry
