Avian Flu
Recent media coverage has focused on the potential for a worldwide pandemic should the current virus affecting birds (Avian Flu) mutate into one that can be transmitted from human to human although there have been no reported cases of human to human transmission at this time. The USD Student Health Center is continually monitoring reports from the CDC, the San Diego County Health Department, as well as other sources related to Avian Flu and will share any change in that status as soon as it becomes available.
