Student Health Insurance Plan
Students are strongly encouraged to have medical insurance and to carry their health insurance card with them at all times.
For students enrolling for 2009-2010: Effective August 15, 2009, a Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan, designed especially for USD students, is available through United HealthCare. Plan features include:
- Affordable Premiums
- In and Out of Network Coverage
- Increased Pharmacy Benefits
- Sport Clubs and Intramurals Coverage
- Optional Intercollegiate Sports Coverage
- Optional Dental Coverage

- Enrollment is easy and can be completed online
- Print your insurance card online

- File claims directly through Gallagher Koster
Domestic students are not automatically enrolled in the Domestic Student Plan. For instructions on enrolling in the USD Domestic Student Plan, please click here.
