Gemma Ripperton entered the University of San Diego in 2003 and graduated with a Master's of Science – Family Nurse Practitioner emphasis.  Her clinical experience is in hospital-based emergency medicine/trauma and university student health.  With a Bachelor’s in Business from San Diego State University, she has provided medical product development consultation to healthcare technology firms.

Gemma is married, has two school-aged children, and enjoys traveling with family.
