General Greek Life Information
Fraternity and sorority membership can offer many great opportunities to enhance your experience while at USD. Scholarship, service to others and friendship are among the qualities that have attracted students to Greek organization membership.
Fraternity and sorority members are committed to their academics, volunteer time in the community, development and strengthening of leadership skills, and creating a campus support network.
USD is a deferred recruitment campus. This means that all students must complete 12 units at USD or have 24 transfer units to be eligible for recruitment and membership. In addition, men must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA and women must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA. USD does not include previous institutions GPA's in the cumulative total. Individual chapters may have additional GPA requirements that are higher than the minimum listed above, please see the IFC and Panhellenic recruitment pages for additional information.
