Nearly
70 percent of today's students rely on some sort of financial aid
through scholarships, grants, loans or employment. Additionally,
tuition does not fully fund the university's operating costs, covering
instead about 80 percent. Philanthropy fills these and other
gaps.
Gifts
of any size are welcome and can be designated to support a particular
program, scholarship or facility. Gifts also can be directed
to the University Fund, which supports USD's current area of greatest
need. Donations may be made through cash, securities or real
estate and other tangible property. Gifts may be designated
to honor a person's memory or to commemorate a significant event.
At
USD, we are mindful that today's university was built on a foundation
of good will by preceding generations. We accept that torch
and carry it with honor, keeping it well lit for the generations to
come.

Matching Gift Programs
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions
made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy,
please enter your employer's name below.
If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your
employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will
do the rest. The impact of your gift to our school may be doubled or
possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or
spouses.
