Drop Shadow

The Mulvaney Challenge

As of May 15, 2012, $310,000 has been raised for the Mulvaney Challenge!

The Mulvaney family is challenging the University of San Diego community to raise $400,000 for USD's Center for Community Service-Learning. In turn, the Mulvaneys will MATCH every dollar raised. Are you up for the challenge?

Double the Dollars, Double the Difference

This is an unprecedented opportunity for alumni, parents and friends to double their donation and, in effect, double the difference they’re making through the work of the Center for Community Service-Learning. We hope you'll accept the challenge!

How the Endowment Will Make a Difference

Your gift, along with the Mulvaney's matching funds, will enhance and grow the existing Mulvaney Family Endowment for Community Service-Learning and help it surpass the $1 million milestone. Earnings from the endowment will assure that the work of the Center for Community Service-Learning will continue in perpetuity.

Each contribution will help:

  • Increase outreach to neighboring communities
  • Enrich USD students' life education
  • Expand the center's international service-learning

Act now to double your contribution because the challenge expires on June 30, 2012.

How to Participate in the Challenge

Your gift, no matter the size, will be matched to make an even greater impact. To make a gift and automatically double its value, contact Sandie Ciallella at (619) 260-2720 or at sciallella@sandiego.edu. You can also make your gift online by clicking here.

"This is a way we can contribute and it’s an important step to take. We’re doing this for our children, our grandchildren and our great-grandchildren. If something clicks, if we help one person to go out and make a difference in the world, then this is all worthwhile." —Tom Mulvaney
