San Diego Union-Tribune -- Don Jones Smith, a soft-spoken teenager with a slight lisp, struggled to find his voice when he started a camp aimed at helping youth learn real-world business skills.
Don Jones, 17, has lofty goals. He hopes to attend the University of San Diego in the fall and host a charity tennis tournament to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital sometime in the next year. But he found talking to strangers difficult and feels his fear held him back.
In just four days of attending USD’s summer camp for networking and professional development, Don Jones has matured to the point where he is no longer timid. (Full Story)
