San Diego Union Tribune -- SD began the day at The Farms in a tough spot -- tied for the fifth and final qualifying position. The Toreros responded by posting the day’s best score (8-under 280) to finish at even par, 10 shots behind second-ranked UCLA. USC was second at 7-under, while Ohio State (1-over) and Texas (9-over) earned the remaining qualifying spots.
Shah, a 19-year-old from Bakersfield, shot 67 in the final round and 7-under for the tournament to tie for second, six shots behind UCLA All-American Patrick Cantlay (69-67-67).
