Allen Baytop is the director of Special Gifts and Scholarship Development. A successful, experienced fundraiser with nearly three decades of experience in both higher education and the nonprofit sector, Baytop served as campaign manager and director of the North County District Office for United Way of San Diego County prior to his appointment at USD in 2001. As a campus-wide fundraising officer, Baytop works with parents, alumni, students, faculty and department directors to identify, cultivate and solicit private major gifts and program support. Baytop also directs the annual Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon and provides lead support for the stewardship of scholarships and endowments.
