BA, San Diego State University, Art with Emphasis in Graphic Design

Nichole Budd joined the university in 2005, bringing with her a wealth of design, print and technical knowledge. Committed to advancing the university brand, she was recently awarded a National CASE Circle of Excellence Award for Design. She attributes some of her creative education to her previous experiences at local ad agency and design firms Bulldog Drummond and Buchanan Design. It was at these two companies that she was able to learn the ins and outs of working for a wide-range of clients such as Virgin, Nike, Frito-Lay, Ben and Jerry's, ConocoPhillips, Easton, Invitrogen and World Vision. She also gained valuable in-house experience when working as a graphics specialist for IKEA San Diego. As a member of the local art community, Budd has had the privilege of working on several urban renewal projects, such as the Urban Art Trail and the Benchmark project, as well as having been commissioned to paint several murals throughout the community.
