Krystn Shrieve is the director of brand marketing communications, as well as the author of the USD Official Visual Identity and Communications Style Manual, which sets the standards and governs the university's brand and visual identity. She is tasked with ensuring that all materials that bear the University of San Diego name are reliably consistent in the way they portray USD and its mission. Shrieve came to USD in 2000 as a writer in the publications office. In that capacity, she was a staff writer for USD Magazine and was the editor for other publications, including the Alcala View employee newsletter, the Honor Roll of Donors and the President's Report. Prior to that, Shrieve worked for nearly a decade as a reporter and editor for various Southern California newspapers, covering topics from education to city and county government.
