French Honors Society

If you would like to become a lifetime member, you need the following:

Dues are $25.00 for a life-time membership
You will receive a certificate and a pin.
To join, please make a check out to Dr. Michèle Magnin for $25.00, and include a card with your
name, permanent address and tel. number.  Drop it off in Dr. Magnin's mailbox in Founders 134.

Participate in the PI DELTA PHI  French Essay Contest.
Submission deadline:  May 1st, 2006.

PI DELTA PHI sollicits student essays each year.  Essays are not to exceeed 500 words (three pages) and must be in French.  Submission details will be posted in Spring 2006.

Applications will be available in Dr. Magnin's office (Founders 144) in April.   Application forms must be attached to your essay.

Eligibility:  all regular members of Pi Delta Phi who are registered in a college or university with a chapter in good standing of Pi Delta Phi. U.S. citizenship is required.

Two categories:  [1] Graduate - [2] Undergraduate

Prizes:  The top three submissions in the undergraduate category will receive $200, $100, and $75 respectively.  The top graduate student will receive $300.
Winners will be notified by September 1st, 2006.
