Terry Kalfayan, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Terry Kalfayan joined the University of San Diego in June 2000 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Provost, Ms. Kalfayan is responsible for fiscal planning, capital financing, and asset stewardship. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet. From 2000 to 2007, Ms. Kalfayan served as Controller for USD. In 2007, she assumed the role of Assistant Vice President for Budget and Treasury prior to her promotion to CFO in 2012. Prior to 2000, Ms. Kalfayan worked as Controller for Sharp Healthcare, San Diego’s largest integrated healthcare delivery system. Ms. Kalfayan began her career at Deloitte & Touche, an international public accounting and consulting firm. Ms. Kalfayan is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma. She has served on the County of San Diego Audit Committee and currently serves on the West Coast Conference Audit Committee. A San Diego native, Ms. Kalfayan is a proud alumnus of the University of San Diego, receiving both her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Masters of Science in Accountancy and Financial Management at USD.
