Ms. Courtney-Smith has worked in 4 uniquely different industries and defines her career as 20% Information Technology, 20% Facilities & Space Occupancy Management and 60% Finance & Business Management:

  • Systems Project Manager at CNA Insurance in Chicago, IL
  • Systems Project Manager and then Finance & Business Manager at TRW Space & Defense, in Redondo Beach

Ms. Courtney-Smith, a native of Chicago, maintains her status as a die-hard Cubs fan and always believed that someday she would be correct when she proclaimed, “This is our year.” 2016 was finally that year. Being a Chicago Cubs fan provided two valuable life lessons: you can’t have hope without faith and, to paraphrase Satchel Paige, “You win some, you lose some, but you suit up for ‘em all.”
