How do the humanities help USD students and alumni succeed in their endeavors?

We all know the value of learning to think critically and independently, read powerfully and perceptively, write lucidly and precisely, and speak articulately. This is something that we were taught during our days at Alcala Park, but how do we, as working professionals, as active community members, as influential parents, friends, and family members, continue
to embrace and hone these skills for the betterment of our personal communities?

Come listen to Professors Derrick Cartwright and Brian Clack as they give you tips and tools on how to more effectively craft your message.

This event is $10 per person to attend and includes light appetizers and wine.

Attending from USD:

  • Dr. Noelle Norton, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Political Science
  • Dr. Derrick Cartwright, Director of the Hoehn Galleries and Professor of Art History
  • Dr. Brian Clack, Director of the Humanities Center and Professor of Philosophy
  • Valerie Attisha '94, Director of Development of the College of Arts and Sciences

We look forward to seeing you there!
