Join us as Rick Burdick, an experienced international dealmaker, present an interactive transactional case study to demonstrate how lawyers have to combine a range of disciplines to make good deals for their clients. The case study examines the relationship between the strategies of two well-known global companies, the capital markets and the governments of the United States and the Russian Federation.

Rick Burdick is a managing partner of the international offices of the Akin Gump law firm and head of his firm’s Global Energy and Transactions Group. For more than 30 years, Burdick has played a leading role in some of the most cutting-edge domestic and cross-border transactions throughout the United States, the Middle East, Russia, Central Europe and China.

Everyone in the law school community is invited to attend. The event is part of the USD School of Law's U.S. Law and Policy Program for International Professionals.
