|Event Start Time||12:30 pm - 1:30 pm|
In celebration of Black History Month and in awareness of Catholic social thought, the University of San Diego proudly welcomes Archbishop Wilton Gregory.
Archbishop Gregory will speak to the United States’ progress in our appreciation of multi-cultural identity as our national identity. He will discuss what we, as a nation, have learned and what remains for us to learn as we celebrate Black History Month. In this context, Archbishop Gregory will speak to his experience as a black church leader, what Pope Francis will mean for the church with regard to diversity and inclusion and how these matters of life and faith relate to the Catholic social thought principle of the call to family, community and participation.
