Faculty collaborate one-on-one with undergraduate and graduate students on research, scholarship and creative activity, allowing students to experience the excitement of original discovery.
Our students strive for academic excellence and take great pride in serving their communities. At USD, students learn to think critically, act globally and work collaboratively to achieve their full potential.
USD has an active, thriving campus community. In addition to its sublime setting — enhanced by an average 300 days of sunshine each year — USD offers students an abundance of academic programs, facilities and resources.
From the moment you step on our beautiful campus you can see that USD is exceptional.
2013 Summer Send Off Schedule
|Event Start Date||Saturday, June 15, 2013 – Thursday, August 15, 2013|
Each summer the Office of Parent Relations coordinates Summer Send Off events around the country to welcome incoming freshmen and transfer students. These events are designed to offer a pre-orientation welcome, provide pertinent information, and allow students to meet others from their area prior to arriving at USD.
These events are generally hosted by parents and alumni. At many of the events, USD representatives, administrators, parent board members, current parents and students are often in attendance to answer your questions. We encourage families to attend and get those important questions answered and make connections to build a network of familiar faces for when you get to campus.
