"Illness is a spiritual event. Illness grasps persons by the soul
as well as by the body and disturbs both."
— Daniel Sulmasy
An Introduction to Spirituality in Health Care
Please join us for a morning focused on the impact and benefit of spirituality and its practice for
those who struggle with illness and those who care for them. At some point and time in our lives
we have been, or will be, faced with the challenge and opportunity to explore how spirituality
can enrich and comfort our experience of illness whether based on our own health or as one
who cares for another. Please join us, whether you are a health care professional, caregiver,
Chaplain, Clergy member, loved one of someone who is ill or one who holds a curiosity or
desire to examine spiritual development from this context of life’s journey.
