University of San Diego along with Move San Diego, Walk San Diego, The San Diego Bicycle Coalition and the San Diego/Tijuana Chapter of the Urban Land Institute will host a mayoral debate between Congressman Bob Filner and San Diego Councilman Carl DeMaio.
This will be the only debate where the primary focus will be on enhancing and improving the quality of life in San Diego. Questions will center around the issues of: livable communities, urban growth and development, housing near our place of employment, and transportation.
Shiley Theatre doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the debate begins at 7 p.m. A reception will follow. Tickets are free for USD students, faculty and staff. General admission seats for the public are $5 presale and $10 at the door.
