Faculty collaborate one-on-one with undergraduate and graduate students on research, scholarship and creative activity, allowing students to experience the excitement of original discovery.
Our students strive for academic excellence and take great pride in serving their communities. At USD, students learn to think critically, act globally and work collaboratively to achieve their full potential.
USD has an active, thriving campus community. In addition to its sublime setting — enhanced by an average 300 days of sunshine each year — USD offers students an abundance of academic programs, facilities and resources.
From the moment you step on our beautiful campus you can see that USD is exceptional.
Careers with a Conscience
|Event Start Date||Tuesday, March 20, 2012|
University Center, Forum A
|Event Start Time||12:15 pm|
Are you interested in pursuing a career in social justice? One that is geared towards making a meaningful difference and connecting with your local or global community? If so, join us for the annual Careers with a Conscience discussion, a continuation of the Adventures in Service event from the fall, hosted by American Humanics, Career Services, the Center for Community Service-Learning, and University Ministry.
This year's Careers with a Conscience will feature a panel of USD alum and staff – Kelsey Johnson (JVC), Andrew McMillin (Augustinian Volunteers), and Lisa Saldias (Teach for America) – and guest speaker David Rivera, the founder of local middle-school Nativity Prep. Listen to their stories of service beyond college and how to make a long-lasting career out of pursuing their passions. Engage in dialogue and participate in the question and answer session; and enjoy free pizza and beverages.
