Faculty collaborate one-on-one with undergraduate and graduate students on research, scholarship and creative activity, allowing students to experience the excitement of original discovery.
Our students strive for academic excellence and take great pride in serving their communities. At USD, students learn to think critically, act globally and work collaboratively to achieve their full potential.
USD has an active, thriving campus community. In addition to its sublime setting — enhanced by an average 300 days of sunshine each year — USD offers students an abundance of academic programs, facilities and resources.
From the moment you step on our beautiful campus you can see that USD is exceptional.
Outdoor Adventure Photography Exhibit
|Event Start Date||Thursday, February 17, 2011 – Sunday, February 27, 2011|
Student Life Pavillion Exhibit Hall
Showcased in the Exhibit Hall in the Student Life Pavillion is a photgraphic collection of outdoor adventure and landscape photographs that we hope will inspire the adventurer within. Featured is a collection by USD alumnus Will Rochfort '04 and Mark Ceder, a staff member from the Experiential Learning and Adventure Center.
"More than anything, I hope these pictures compel you to want to get outside," said Rochfort. "So get out there. Live vicariously through yourself. No high-definition unit can compete with the alpenglow of the Eastern Sierras, fitting your boot inside of a grizzly's print on a riverbank, or navigating through your campsite by starlight. Get outside and play."
Explore the world. Discover yourself.
