Scalar is a free, open-source authoring and publishing platform designed to make it easy for authors in the humanities and humanistic social sciences to write and publish long-form, born-digital, scholarship online. Scalar enables users to enrich their own writing with variety of media, and this platform requires minimal technical knowledge. Paul Evans (Humanities Center Postdoctoral Fellow in Digital Humanities) will provide a hands-on introduction to Scalar, during which you will create your first Scalar book -- in under an hour!
