Disability Studies explores models and theories that examine social, political, cultural, and economic factors that define disability. Courses examine disability history, theory, legislation, policy, ethics and the arts, teaching students to think critically about the lived lives of the disabled — encouraging students to work to improve quality of life and advocate for civil rights.

Come join us as we have a conversation about the interdisciplinary field of Disability Studies and a discussion of how we might create our own courses here at USD. Lunch will be provided.
