In this session:

John Franey, Ph.D. will be presenting on the MTLC Tech 360° research process. The MTLC research team has found the effectiveness of a technology integration is strongly influenced by a series of contextual readiness factors. Through a mixed-methods research approach, the MTLC Tech 360° provides school districts with specific information about the readiness factors that either support or challenge their effective integration of technology. This information enables districts and individual school leadership teams to make evidence-based decisions in order to address readiness barriers, build the capacities of stakeholders, and to prepare for the transformation of student learning environments and teachers' instructional practices. This presentation will examine the research methods used in the process, the contextual readiness factors, the findings and recommendations that have emerged, and how this process supports district decision-making in the area of technology integration.

and

Lea Hubbard, Ph.D, Karen Lee, Ph.D & Sergio Rodriguez, M.A., will be presenting on an effort to use data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes within the Department of Learning and Teaching . Focusing on three key areas identified from the data as areas where growth is needed, the department is taking steps to better integrate technology in planning, teaching and assessing, effectively teach classroom management strategies and deepen students’ knowledge about how to best support a diverse K-12 student population. In addition, they will present the on-going assessment and professional development strategies being used to support this work.
