USD Rotaract Hosting: World Polio Week
Rotary, along with its partners, has reduced polio cases by 99 percent worldwide since 1985, but the fight isn't over. Polio is a crippling and potentially fatal infectious disease, and for as little as $0.60, a child can be protected against the virus for life.
We are close to eradicating polio, but we need your help! USD Rotaract is trying to help Rotary wipe out Polio. If you're interested in learning more, please come to our events or email USD Rotaract at USDRotaractClub@gmail.com.
LIST OF EVENTS:
Monday: Laser Tag Fundraiser at ULTRAZONE San Diego on Sports Arena. Bring this flyer, purchase two games, and USD Rotaract will receive 50 perecent of your sale to our End Polio Now Campaign. Fundraiser is from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
Tuesday: USD Rotaract will be spreading awareness in front of the University Center during dead hours. Come and learn how to make a make a difference by eradicating Polio.
Thursday: Rotaract's General Body Meeting. We will be showing a 20-minute video on Rotary's involvement in eradicating this disease. GBM is in Olin Hall, Room 225 at 12:30 p.m.
ALL WEEK LONG: USD Rotaract is partnering with The Secret Cookie Service. USD Rotaract will be taking cookie orders by the dozens.
One Dozen=$15. USD Rotaract will be receiving 40 percent of sales.
Choices are: Chocolate chip, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, and white chocolate cinnamon oatmeal.
