The Italian Program at USD and the San Diego Italian Film Festival* will show two of Paul Tana's documentaries about the Italian immigrant experience: Ricordati di noi, a 26-minute film about Montreal's first and favorite Italian-language television program, "Teledomenica" which was broadcast every Sunday from 1964 to 1994, followed by Caffè italia, an 81-minute docudrama about the Italian community in Montreal, Quebec. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Mr. Tana and filmmaker Marco Bertozzi. All films have English subtitles.

Free and open to the public. No reservation is needed. ›A reception follows.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Languages and Literatures with a grant from the Enhanced Student-Faculty Interaction Fund, and by the San Diego Italian Film Festival.

*Please note that the films being shown in the festival are at different locations and that "Foreign at Home: Italian Expatriate Cinema" is being shown from 1-5 p.m. on October 27 at the San Diego Public Library on Park Blvd. and 11th Avenue (not at USD on October 28).
