The 2013 Changemaker Fest is a week-long event dedicated to defining, exploring and putting change into action.
There are 22 events in all during the week at various campus locations. Thirteen Changemaker Fest events are approved for the School of Business Administration's Passport Program.
Begin each day of the week with a yoga class from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Student Life Pavilion's third-floor courtyard.
There are wonderful speakers, film screenings and opportunities for discussion and discovery. Check out the daily schedule to find something that sparks your interest or challenges you to go beyond your comfort zone.
The Changemaker Fest's "main event" programming occurs on Thursday, Oct. 3:
Changemaker Festival & Playground Career Fair 12-1:30pm, in front of the UC, Torero Way.
Join us at the main festival event featuring on- and off-campus opportunities to get involved and explore social change, This year the Changemaker Fest will feature RECESS: The Playground, a networking event with world-changing startup companies, emulating the playground we all remember as kids. Each startup brings interactive games, creating a fun, laid-back environment for students to learn about startups, ask questions, seek advice, and create relationship that open doors to endless possibilities. Encouraging college students to grow their network, we challenge them to understand, "it's not what you know, it's who you know.
TPB, IFC, & PHA Present: Study Hall Speaker Series, Forum C, 1:15-2:30 p.m.
True innovators lead a progressive speaker series discussing topics relevant to college student success including personal branding, career obstacles, and landing your dream job. Speakers will be announced September 27, 2013
Torero Program Board Presents RECESS Music Festival
Celebrate a full day of networking and thought pushing with high-profile DJ/Producer 3LAU. This is the “play hard” part. Time to have fun!
