Presentation by Dr. Patti H. Clayton, PHC Ventures

Many USD faculty make community service learning a part of their courses, and many have expressed what a positive experience it is for them and their students. However, the question often remains: “How can I gauge what my students have learned from their experience?”

Dr. Clayton is an expert in designing and evaluating service learning programs, as well as in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her work in critical reflection not only provides a framework for documenting and measuring learning; it actually deepens the student learning experience. If you already have, or are developing, a service learning component for your course, this workshop may be just what you need.

A continental breakfast will be provided.
