Three students and one alumna from the Master of Arts in Peace & Justice Studies program of the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies recently journeyed on an immersion trip to Haiti. Hosted by a Claretian Catholic community and building on existing relationships with the Religious of the Sacred Heart, both in the village of Cazale approximately two hours from Port-au-Prince, the delegation focused on establishing a relationship with the community of Cazale, exchanging perspectives, and touring post-earthquake reconstruction projects implemented by Catholic Relief Services in cooperation with local communities.
