To all graduate students and guests: join Outdoor Adventures as we venture to Cabrillo National Monument on Feb. 10 from 3 - 6 p.m. We will meet at the Wine Pub in Point Loma at 3 p.m. (2907 Shelter Island Drive, 92106).

We will depart from the Wine Pub in Outdoor Adventure vans to Cabrillo Monument and participate in an Old Lighthouse tour (not open to the public) at Cabrillo National Monument. We will also be scanning the horizon in hopes of spotting migrating Gray Whales.

Gray whales have the longest known migration of any mammal. They travel 10,000 - 12,000 miles round trip every year between their winter calving lagoons in the warm waters of Mexico and their summer feeding grounds in the cold Arctic seas. Thanks to their near-shore migration route, we will have the opportunity to observe the gray whale along its journey.

At 5:30 p.m. we will return to the Wine Pub where happy hour has been extended for our group until 7 p.m.

This event is free but space is limited. RSVP is required to participate. Please RSVP at http://www.sandiego.edu/oa/registration/

Need a ride to this event? Outdoor Adventures will provide transportation from USD. Please meet at University Center, Room 136 at 2:30 p.m.
