Principals' Ongoing Support and Training (POST) funded by a grant from the Stuart Foundation, is a new program that makes it possible for ELDA to partner with 12 veteran principals, three members of their leadership teams and the district's curriculum Santee and South Bay Union. The POST program will provide for the principals and their leadership team members high quality professional development specific to the school/district needs and one on one coaching for the principals. The focus will be on best practices for improving student achievement including: effective instructional strategies, methods for assessing learning, monitoring results, and using results to guide continuous improvement. Coaches are provided with additional professional development on coaching methods and techniques to increase their coaching skills to provide added support to the principals.
