The Ahlers Center for International Business welcomes international visiting faculty Lourdes Casanova, PhD, consultant and lecturer in the Strategy Department at INSEAD for the “The Emergence of Latin American Multinationals" presentation and luncheon.
Lourdes Casanova, a lecturer in the Strategy Department at INSEAD, specializes in international business with a focus on Latin America and multinationals from emerging markets. She is also a consultant for multinationals operating in Latin America working with senior managers from global multinationals including Telefónica, BBVA and Cemex. She is the author of the book Global Latinas: Latin America’s emerging multinationals (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009) and has published numerous case studies and articles in journals including Beijing Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Business and Politics and Foreign Affairs Latinoamérica. She is responsible at INSEAD for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative and is co-leading the InnovaLatino research project on Innovation in Latin America, a three-year OECD/INSEAD project funded by Fundación Telefónica. She is a member of the Advisory Committee European Union/Brazil, the Global Agenda Council of the World Economic Forum on the future of Mobile Telecommunications, and the Nominating Committee of the World Innovation Summit (HIT Barcelona).
