Details

Young African Refugees for Integral Development, USD's Graduate and Law Student Commons, and the Peace and Justice Graduate Student Association present "Urban Refugees in Uganda: A Short Documentary and Panel Discussion."

There are nearly 10.4 million refugees in world and 5.5 million are "urban refugees." Living outside the camps and in the city means increased vulnerability, lack of security, lack of access to education and healthcare. Join us as we discuss the implications and efforts to support this population.

Young African Refugees for Integral Development (YARID) is a grassroots organization started by young Congolese refugees to serve their fellow refugees through education, women's empowerment and sports.
