As part of a series of lectures celebrating the 150th anniversary of the publication of the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin, the Department of Biology is pleased to host J. David Archibald, Ph.D. Dr. J. Archibald is a Professor of Biology and the Curator of the Mammals Collection at San Diego State University. The research in Dr. Archibald's lab is quite varied, but he summarizes it as the study of the evolution, extinction, systematics, and theoretical issues of living and extinct vertebrates and their geological setting. Dr. Archibald is also recognized as an expert on Charles Darwin and a collector of his works.
