Reverend Peter C. Phan, Ignacio Ellacuria Chair of Catholic Social Thought, Georgetown University,  delivers the 2007-08 Portman Lecture in Catholic Systematic Theology on Monday, March 3, 2008, at 7 p.m., in the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Theatre. 

Phan's topic will be ""How Western/European Is Christianity? Missiological and Theological Considerations on World Christianity." 

The Portman Lecture is made possible by a generous donation to the University of San Diego in honor of Monsignor John R. Portman, professor emeritus in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies.  The talk will be followed by a reception in the Kroc Institute of Peace & Justice Rotunda.  Admission is free.
