Checking the USD Calendar

1)  Check the following web pages for conflicts:

Before planning an event, it is essential to check the USD and San Diego calendars for space, attendee, and parking conflicts. There are at least two places to check for conflicts depending on who might attend the event:

Campus Scheduling has a complete calendar of room reservations with event titles at

www.sandiego.edu/usdcal

Associated Students has a program and event listing found at

http://www.sandiego.edu/associatedstudents/

For University participants, check with Campus Scheduling or the campus event calendar   and “News and Events” at www.sandiego.edu/news/eventcalendar

For people from the San Diego community, check the San Diego Events Calendar for competing events which might take away from your potential audience

2)  Check with Campus Scheduling for conflicts:

Private events and tentative events do not show up on the calendar, so always check with scheduling (x4592) before assuming the venue is available to book. Remember that parking on campus is limited.  Please contact Wajma Shams (wshams@sandiego.edu) at Parking Services & Public Safety if you will be having a large event anywhere on-campus. The best time to hold large events is on Friday afternoons and the weekends.

Determine if already scheduled campus activities have taken your desired venue, or will inhibit your guest’s ability to park
