HKN is the International Honor Society for Electrical Engineers. The USD Chapter of HKN is one of more than 200 in the United States, Europe, and Asia. At USD, persons are elected to HKN from the junior and senior classes of the accredited EE program. Eligibility is established during the first two or three years in college as evidenced by scholarship, personal character, useful voluntary services, and distinguished accomplishments. In addition to recognizing scholarly achievement, another aim is to assist members in becoming better professionals as well as better citizens.
