American Society of Mechanical Engineers
Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, today’s ASME is a 120,000-member professional organization focused on technical, educational and research issues of the engineering and technology community.  ASME conducts one of the world’s largest technical publishing operations, holds numerous technical conferences worldwide, and offers hundreds of professional development courses each year.  ASME sets internationally recognized industrial and manufacturing codes and standards that enhance public safety.

9/11/07 Tuesday - ASME BB-Q / Outdoor between Loma and Warren Hall

ASME BBQ will be held Tuesday September 11, 2007 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. This event is held to promote ASME awareness to our student body. Underclassmen are highly encouraged to come out and meet our ASME officers and upper classmen

9/20/07 Thusday - ASME 1st meeting

Our first meeting will be September 20th at 12PM in L307, food and refreshments will be served. We will be filling out ICS membership forms, introducing the ME faculty and welcoming the freshman.

10/30/07 Tuesday - ASME Mentor Night

Mentor Night will be held on Tuesday October 30, 2007 in Degheri Hall 120. The doors willopen at 5:00 pm.Mentor Night is an opportunity for students to interact with people from industry on a causal level. This environment will encourage conversations that will facilitate a student's transition to an engineering role. Food & refreshment will be offered to all whom attend. Students from SDSU and UCSD are welcomed to attend. If you wish to participate as a mentor or a student please contact our student body.
