Entrepreneurship at USD's Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering
We envision USD's Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering as a school where an entrepreneurial mindset is pervasive in our students and faculty - a place that external partners perceive as the San Diego regional location for engaging engineering students in entrepreneurship and "intrapreneurship" activities.
We envision student teams creating new ventures annually and using the scaffolding developed through USD to enter into incubators, venture or acquisition agreements, and transitioning into companies looking for talent to inject innovation within their organizations. We envision an ecosystem of USD entrepreneurship that engages students beyond the silos of engineering and where external partners sustain our program through deep consistent engagement.
