GenCyber Rising Cyber Stars Program (Advanced) Camp

The GenCyber Rising Cyber Stars Program (Advanced) is designed to build off the foundational awareness, knowledge, and skills from previous cyber security activities, such as that gained through our GenCyber camps, into a higher-level appreciation for cyber security through career-centric immersive experiences.

Intended to engage, challenge, and inspire students, the GenCyber Rising Cyber Stars Program (Advanced) is and will serve to expand the understanding and application of the first principles in cyber security. By participating in this Program students will integrate specialized field knowledge, demonstrate critical inquiry, apply learning and reason ethically.

Who Should Apply: Incoming 10th, 11th and 12th graders with above average STEM proficiency interested in exploring cyber security as a career goal. Previous attendees to a GenCyber program or other national cyber security programs and clubs, applicants with demonstrated computer programming experience or attendance at a cyber-related workshop will be considered.

Application: Admission is through an application process, as space is limited.  Applications are due between May 30th and June 30th, 2017.

Course Fee: There is no cost to participate.  In order to stimulate learning and future professionals in this field, the United States National Security Agency (NSA) has awarded funding to the University of San Diego to cover all costs for the program.
