USD Engineering Events Focus on the Future

Fascinated by the future and what it has to offer? Want to hear about a human-powered vehicle or a radio-controlled model airplane? How about the latest medical device or what a research study found to help a local hospital run more efficiently? Perhaps you’d like to see a project that establishes a tangible connection between art and engineering?

To learn more about each of these projects and more, the campus and local community is invited to attend the University of San Diego Engineering Program’s annual Spring Open House on Friday. The free event runs from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on the second and third floors of Loma Hall.

Each project is the final chapter for senior students in electrical, mechanical and industrial and systems engineering. Each project has a team of students. On Friday, not only will projects be available for viewing — some are in poster form only — but each team will have a 20-minute presentation and will be available to answer questions.
