Main Dining Room
With your meal plan you may enjoy all-you-care-to-eat meals in the hub of student life, the Main Dining Room. The dining hall is open to the entire campus community and cash customers are also welcome. Each time you eat in the Main Dining Room one meal is deducted from your plan.
- Main Dining serves 19 meals each week: breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday thru Friday, and brunch and dinner on the weekends. We also now offer continuous service during the week between 11 am and 10 pm.
- Choose from our large rotating menu, including hot entrée selections such as: pasta, demonstration cooking, a grill, organic, vegetarian and vegan soups, an extensive salad bar, a variety of fresh fruits, home baked goods, cereals and beverages.
- This fall there will be a brand new take-out option for meals on the go.
The Main Dining Room is located on the upper level of the University Center. During the fall and spring semesters, students
may gain entry to the all-you-care-to-eat breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner buffets by using their meal plan, or by paying with cash or CampusCash.
Faculty, staff and visitors are welcome and may pay with cash or CampusCash.
Save over $400 a semester just by eating dinner on campus!
Without a meal plan the cash door price at Main Dining is $9.00 for dinner. If you eat dinner off campus and spend $9.00, you would also have to pay tax which would be another $.70, and add the high cost of gas (not to mention a tip) and your savings would be well over $400 every semester. That’s saving over $3.00 for every dinner you eat! As you can see, the savings add up fast and in addition to the great value of your meal plan, students never have to pay tax on campus meals.
Meal plans for students are not taxed. In order to avoid paying tax on other food purchases, you must identify yourself as a student to the cashier, and show your official USD ID card.
