Construction News: Student Life Pavilion

Construction has begun on the new Student Life Pavilion. This building will be located adjacent to the Hahn University Center and the east parking structure on campus.

 

Updates

• Permits are pending, construction on the actual foundation of the new building will begin soon! (5/8/08)
• As of 12/22/07 the east UC parking lot and patio dining area next to the Marketplace are closed. This is where demolition began in December.
• Entrance to the UC Marketplace (Deli, Bakery and Market) is still accessible from the exterior, east-side, and from inside the UC.  All of these dining areas will remain open during the current phase of construction.

The Student Life Pavilion will be a four story building and will house:

• Dining Locations: Tu Mercado, Mu Shu, Sea Salt Grill, Nori Now, Tapenade, Maiz, Lemon Grass, Heirloom Cucina, Chives, Bay Leaf, Out of the Box!, and La Tarte.
• Student Offices: including Associated Students, Greek Life and the United Front.
• Various retail outlets, lounge areas and more.
