2011 Awards

The Center for Peace and Commerce launched the Social Innovation Challenge by inviting students from the School of Business and the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies to participate. There were 16 total applicants and 4 awardees who committed to creating an innovation to make a more just and prosperous world. The 2011 Social Innovation Challenge winners are listed below.

Tiffany Owen is a junior majoring in Business Administration and Sociology at the University of San Diego.

Second Prize Winner (Prize: $3,000)

Tipiwa Mabutho is a graduate student of Business Administration(MBA) at the University of San Diego.

Third Prize Winners (Prize: $1,500)

Chris Morales and Justine Darling are graduate students of Peace studies; Rohini Sankapal is a graduate student of Business Administration(MBA) at the University of San Diego.
