Oxford Global Challenge USD
Oxford Global Challenge is a new opportunity for USD students to practice changemaking. Rather than jump straight to a business plan or quick fix solution, participants in the Oxford Global Challenge are asked to demonstrate a deeper understanding of a pressing social or environmental issue they are passionate about, mapping out the landscape of the current solutions and identifying possibilities for positive change.
USD Students will register by December 20th on Oxford Global Challenge website but submit Round 1 content (February 27th) and present for Round 2 (March 24th) at USD.
The final event will be held at the University of Oxford, UK 30th April - 1st May 2017. Teams from all over the world will pitch for the three top prizes.
Participants will also benefit from personalized feedback from a panel of expert judges, who work in impact-focused organizations such as private foundations, impact investment firms and social enterprises. Furthermore, finalists will have the opportunity to build relationships with students from a range of other universities, all of whom are passionate about positive social change.
In addition to the final pitch event, finalists will be invited to attend an Oxford college dinner where they will be addressed by an influential social impact leader.
